One of the areas the world often see in us as believers is that frailty when we are cheated and they strongly believe we cannot react.
And when we react, the next statement would be, “I think you call yourself born again or you are a pastor.”
It’s the same way a Pastor running a business is criticized and condemned. The question is, is it unscriptural for a pastor to have a business he’s doing aside from the work of the ministry?
Basically, ministry in it’s entirety is a business BUT not necessarily for commercial purposes. And this does not stop the Pastor not to engage in one business or the other so long as it does not affect the sanity and sanctity of his ministry and his calling.
When a Pastor is into real estate, people begins to raise alarm.
When a pastor buys a private jet, the “world people” would almost wants to crash.
When a Pastor is trekking on the road, they call him all sorts of names, a poor pastor.
When a pastor is driving G-wagon X whatsoever latest, there would be earthquake.
When a pastor is driving beetle 1900 model, he is termed the poorest pastor in the world and that his village people has not left him. ๐คฃ
Pastors eyes don see shege.
Should a pastor remain poor, become a beggar and live as a liability, a destitute all the days of his life and die of hunger?
Here is the key point today,
Discerning right or wrong business deals as believers needs the leading of the Holy Spirit to be involve in our business endeavors which involves seeking guidance through prayer and meditation, asking for clarity on potential decisions.
This process includes listening to inner convictions, paying attention to any feelings of unease or peace, and aligning choices with ethical and moral principles.
The Holy Spirit’s guidance can provide insight beyond rational analysis, helping us to avoid deals that might compromise integrity or harm others.
Trusting in this spiritual guidance and his keading can lead to making more conscious and righteous business decisions.
It is better to delay the deal rather than to rush into it and fall into error which one might later regret for taking such irrational decision.
Either you are a Pastor or not, the leading of the Holy Spirit is not limited or restricted to some certain set of people, we are all beneficiary of the same measure of grace at redemption.
Pastoring is not just limited to righteous living, it is an all- nclusive profitable living.
